In Silver Spring, MD, Applied ABC gives families a safe, inviting place for autism therapy and care. Our professional staff of ABA therapists help children with autism develop critical social and emotional skills to help them thrive.
We offer full-day services in 8-hour windows scheduled between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.
For families who don’t need full-day services, we also offer shorter sessions anytime between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Between 1:30 PM–6:00 PM, children are invited to our Afterschool Program for story reading, group dancing exercises, games, science experiments, and other ABA activities.
In the Summer months, Applied ABC’s Summer Program offers themed therapy, games, and events every week Monday–Saturday during normal center hours.
Center-Based Social Skill Groups with Applied ABC help children with autism make new friends while advancing their social and interpersonal skills.
*Single-Case Agreements may be possible for families who do not have insurance coverage through one of the listed insurance providers.

Meet ShoshanaShoshana Rakow, the Regional Director overseeing the Silver Spring Center, is a compassionate leader with over a decade of hands-on experience working with children on the autism spectrum. Driven by a commitment to make a positive impact in their lives, Shoshana also serves as a dedicated family advocate. Her vision extends beyond clinical excellence; she is passionate about building a center that is not only clinically robust but also fosters a supportive environment for both children and families alike.

Join Shoshana on her journey of dedicated leadership and unwavering compassion. Outside of her professional endeavors, Shoshana takes pride in her New York roots and enjoys a fulfilling life as a devoted wife and mother of two young boys.
Shardretta Williams-Guttrick
Lead RBT
Meet ShardrettaShardretta Williams- Gutrick is a certified ABA and licensed RBT. She received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Broward College, FL, in 2014.

Shardretta has diligently worked with children for over 30 years. Her strong professional educational qualifications stem from working as a Lead Teacher in early childhood, elementary schools, and Montessori schools, churches, tutoring and mentoring in students’ homes. She was a role model and caregiver for 7 siblings at the tender age of 13. She successfully raised 3 sons; one who had serious medical issues at birth, but lived beyond the years the doctors diagnosed him with.

Mrs. Gutrick is a team player, self-motivated, honest, and dependable. Her passion is teaching children with special needs. She is committed to providing the best results supporting each client in the center as the RBT Team Lead.
