Where do you call home?
Home is in Mississippi; I’m from a town called Southaven which is located on the state line, and it is about 10 minutes from Memphis, TN. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA.
How many years have you worked in the ABA field?
This is my first year working in the ABA field. I began January 2023.
How did you end up working for Applied ABC?
I graduated May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. The psych field is very broad, and there are many places to start. Because I know I want to attain a doctoral degree in behavioral analysis, I decided to search for jobs within that field. I stumbled across Applied when searching, and the rest is history!
What’s the most fulfilling part of your work?
I am most fulfilled by the progress the children show. When the parents notice differences, it allows me to become more confident that the therapy is doing what is supposed to do. Building self esteem and self efficacy within the children motivates me to keep going!
How do you unwind after a long day?
I do yoga to unwind and ease my mind. It allows me to become more grounded and for the stress of the day to wear off.
What are some interesting facts about you?
Fun fact, I am a film photographer! I used to develop pictures on my own, but I now take them to a photo lab due to lack of time. I enjoy capturing the mundane beauty of every day life
