Celebrating Hawaiʻi’s ABA Community: Applied ABC at HABA 2026

HABA 2026 Conference

There is something special about hearing someone celebrate the work your team is doing. At HABA 2026, those moments gave us even more reasons to be proud of the relationships we are building in Hawaiʻi.

Applied ABC, serving Hawaiʻi as Mahalo ABA, was excited to exhibit at the HABA 21st Annual Convention on September 3–4, 2026, at the ʻAlohilani Resort Waikīkī Beach in Honolulu. This year’s theme, Rooted in Practice, set the stage for two days focused on connection, learning, and the people behind the work.

Representing our team, Keha Norman and Tamara Dyachenko made new connections with education and behavior analysis professionals, shared information about our services, and heard directly from people working alongside our providers. Their updates captured the excitement of the event, especially when conversations turned to the positive experiences people were having with our team.

Our Providers Gave Us Plenty to Celebrate

One of the biggest highlights happened through the feedback shared with us.

A professional who works alongside our registered behavior technicians (RBTs) praised their preparation and training. That recognition was a proud moment for our team and a meaningful acknowledgment of the effort our providers bring to their work.

We also heard wonderful feedback about one of our board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs). A professional who works with our BCBA shared enthusiastic praise for both her and Applied ABC. These personal connections made the conference especially rewarding, bringing us face-to-face with people who know our team through their everyday work.

To our providers: your work matters, and people are noticing. We are proud to celebrate you.

Building Relationships Beyond the Booth

As an approved Hawaiʻi Department of Education vendor, Applied ABC, serving Hawaiʻi as Mahalo ABA, supports school-based partnerships across multiple communities. We also offer home-based services, extending our work beyond the classroom. HABA was an opportunity to build on these relationships and connect with the broader ABA community.

For us, exhibiting means more than sharing a brochure. It means listening to the people we work with, welcoming honest feedback, and making room for new conversations.

Throughout the event, our team connected with professionals interested in our services and discussed opportunities to stay in touch. Those introductions are an exciting starting point. What matters next is continuing the conversation and turning that enthusiasm into thoughtful, responsive partnership.

Mahalo for the Connections and Warm Welcome!

Thank you to the HABA organizers and everyone who took the time to connect with us, share feedback, and learn more about Applied ABC and Mahalo ABA.

A special thank-you goes to Keha and Tamara for bringing such enthusiasm to the event and representing our team with care. Your excitement about the people you met came through in every update.

HABA 2026 gave us so much to celebrate and even more to look forward to. We are excited to keep showing up, strengthening relationships, and building our future in Hawaiʻi together.
