Employee Spotlight: Bersabell Woldetsadik, RBT

Where do you call home?

Lawrenceville, GA is where I call home, I was born and raised here but have always imagined that I would move up north to someplace where it always feels like fall.

How many years have you worked in the ABA field?

I actually don’t have any prior experience in the field of ABA. I took an introductory course in behavior analysis my last semester in college and found it all very interesting, leading me to explore the field further and discover the opportunities it offers.

How did you end up working for Applied ABC?

I live pretty close to Applied ABC and have always been curious about the work done at the clinic long before I considered a career in the field. After earning my certification, I was drawn to apply for a position, not only because of the convenient location but also due to my genuine interest in contributing to the impactful work they do.

What’s the most fulfilling part of your work?

The most fulfilling part of my work aside from witnessing my client’s growth and seeing how far they’ve come would be knowing that I’m making a difference and positively impacting their lives, and ultimately improving their quality of life. It’s especially heartwarming to know that I’m changing their lives for the better while they’re simultaneously changing mine.

How do you unwind after a long day?

I unwind after a long day by spending quality time with my family, often watching reality TV shows together, such as The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Love Island, or Love is Blind. It’s interesting to see how we all respond to or perceive conflicts in the show differently and debrief/discuss our thoughts.

What are some interesting facts about you?

An interesting fact about me is that I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and will be starting grad school in the spring to work towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My long-term goal is to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology and eventually establish a private practice in Atlanta as a Clinical Psychologist.
